I am a Temple // “Waking Hours”

Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy, welcome to “Waking Hours”. This is a note that I, Calvin, wanted to share with you all, my InsideOut group or really anyone reading. These are some thing that are on my heart, placed God at the center of my heart, and helped me remember the beauty of His good world.

This one is short and sweet.

You are the center of my heart and my soul.

I needed this song, right now. This reminded me that I am not just merely a human walking the earth that happens to believe the right things, sing the right songs, and read the Scriptures. I am a temple. I have been set apart (holy), been bought at a price (worthy), and been called a home for the Holy Spirit.

I pray this song does in you what it did in me. That our faith in Jesus is so much more than just believing, but it is LIVING as if, and it is, the temple presence of God is inside you, you would have faith in the Son of God. Marinate in these melodies. He is blown away by you and just wants you look into His eyes.

Now go watch and listen to this: Temple — Maverick City Music

Scripture to feed this. (If you need Scripture to memorize this is what I’m working on)

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit? You are not your own, for you were bought a price, therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20)

“I have been crucified with Christ and no longer live but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing.” (Galatians 2:20–21)

“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the live he lives, he lives to God” (Romans 6:8–10)

A new playlist for you.

release is a playlist I made for this year. To keep a posture in my heart of releasing to him all things.

This faith is personal. He wants to get all up in you and renovate your heart. And from doing this for a few years now, just let him. Come, Lord Jesus.

Walk now friends in the truth of the gospel, and the reality that Christ himself calls you His home.

Grace and peace be with you.

Calvin.
